Caroline O’Connor is a freelance Interior Architect, Furniture and T.V. Set Designer. She works to commission in residential, office interiors. custom furniture, and lighting design projects.

O’Connor is a Cabinetmaker and graduate of Environmental/Spatial Design, Dublin Institute of Technology. O’Connor has worked as a Designer in Interior and Exhibition Design practices, including work on the National Museum of Country Life, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. Her ‘Glow Table’ and ‘Pod Workstation’ were short-listed at the Institute of Designers in Ireland Awards in 1998 and 1999 respectively.

O’Connor merges her design skills with a strong practical leaning. She loves to combine colour, pattern and surprise in her contemporary design works. Furniture can be bold in colour and shape or just simple in line and the use of material. Quality design and execution are paramount in every project.

Recent work includes the set design for the RTE music television programme ‘Other Voices’, broadcast Spring 2006. She has been invited by the Crafts Council of Ireland to exhibit new furniture design pieces at the prestigious VIA exhibition space, Paris, January to March 2007.
